COBURG HARRIERS TRIVIA NIGHT

Thank you to everyone who attended the Coburg Harriers Trivia Night. There was a good turn out with five tables battling it out for the major prize. The theme of the evening was "Australian" trivia and the games had an Australian flavour as well
Well done to Luong Dao and Rey Villegas who were our respective winners of the coin toss, to Jason Elms who won our Four Corners game - Brisbane being the winning corner there. Jo Delaney won Celebrity Head correctly guessing Brian Delaney as being her celebrity
The winning table - by just one point - was Better Late than Never, headed by Deb Clarke. Coming in second was the Kathleen Marsh/Geof Martin table of Great Expectations. Ultimately it was the well travelled Deb Clarke who got 19/20 from the Big Things bonus round that got them over the line
A big thank you to everyone who donated prizes and the Committee are once again humbled by the generousity of those who dionated. It not only enabled us to have a wonderful Dutch Auction, but we were able to supplement the major prize with some very choice items and to beef up the goodies for both the door prize and our various games
The night ended up raising significant funds for the club, close to our goal target we set for the event at the start of the year. I trust all who attended enjoyed themselves immensely and the hardworking members of the Social Committee look forward to bringing it to you again next year
Staging this event on the same day as our cross country championships seemed to work very well so we will look to hold it on the same weekend in 2011. So when planning your winter activities for next season, be sure to keep this space free in your diary
