2008/09 High Velocity Club - Meet 3

The third meeting of the High Velocity Club was held in oppresive conditions at Olympic Park. With the 200 m and 400 m on the program for the sprinters, they would make hard work of it on a day when temperatures topped 44 degrees

The Coburg Harriers were represented by youngster Ellie Thom. This 16 year old was wearing the Coburg Harriers singlet for the first time in Athletics Victoria competition and performed strongly

With a strong tailwind, Thom crossed the line narrowly edged out into sixth place with 26.20 seconds. This will be a new club record for her age group from U17 through to U20
