2008/09 Victorian Milers Club - Meet 4
Sandringham - Thursday, 15 January 2009 The third meeting of the Victorian Milers Club was held in oppresive conditions at the Sandringham Athletic Track in Hampton with the 800 m and 1500 m on the evening's program
The Coburg Harriers were represented by the Benny Tancredi trained sprinter David Woods. This versatile athlete has shown a penchant for the 800 m and was hoping to improve on his recent best of 2.08.90 recorded last season
Placed in Graded Heat 3, Woods was caught up in a tactical race and with the pack getting the bell in a slow first lap, Woods was unable to move his way through the packed field and would finish in 2:12.80 and sixth place
Well done David on a brave race. The next Victorian Milers Club meets on Tuesday, 12 February 2009 with the 800 m and 3000 m on the program at Olympic Park from 7:00 pm
