2008/09 High Velocity Club - Meet 2 Box Hill - Tuesday, 13 December 2008 The second meeting of the specialist sprint competition - the High Velocity Club - took place in good conditions at Box Hill with a slight headwind in the front straight. The Coburg Harriers were represented by two of the club's three elite sprinters In heat 1 of the 100 m was Bola Lowal who beat a strong field home - including the 2008 Stawell Gift winner - to record 10.63 into a headwind of -0.12 m/s. This time, set under electronic timing, is the new Coburg Harriers male 100 m record, surpassing the previous mark of 10.70 shared by four athletes - the earliest of which dates back to 1959! Into a headwind of -0.38 m/s for heat 4 was Michael Dziadkiewicz. In a blanket finish that saw only 0.02 seconds separate second from fourth, Dziadkiewicz was edged into third with 12.06 seconds, just 0.01 behind second and the same margin ahead of fourth Well done to both athletes for making the trip to Box Hill to represent the club and congratulations to Bola Lowal for creating history to break the club's male 100 m sprint record The next High Velocity Club meet takes place at Olympic Park on Thursday, 29 January 2009 at Olympic Park
