Vic All Schools Road Walk Championships Albert Park Sunday, 29 June 2008Congratulations to the xxx current and former Coburg Harriers who were chosen by their schools to compete at the Victorian All Schools Road Walk Championships
Filip Cosic - representing Melbourne High School - competed in the U18 boys 5 km section and earned the bronze medal with 28:21, only a monute off second place
Adrianna Crea, from the Academy of Mary Immaculate, competed in the U18 girls 5 km section and put in a brave performance with eighth place in 35:55. Not a bad performance, when you consider Crea would have been one of the youngest competitors in the field
The niece of head club coach Brian Delaney, Emma Delaney from Sacred Heart College Geelong, was competing in the U16 girls 3 km section and recorded an encouraging ninth place with a time of 20:57
And those who ran the Athletics Victoria winter season in 2007 will remember little Amanda Heard. This plucky little athlete is unable to compete for the Harriers this season, swapping her runners for walking shoes. Representing Goulburn Valley Grammar School, Heard finished fifth in the very competitive U14 girls 3 km section. Heard recorded 16:32 and was only five seconds off fourth place
Well done to all Coburg Harriers on your performances
