1950 Empire Games representative Joan Morrison

Joan Morrison competed in the High Jump in the 1950 Empire Games in Auckland. She finished 5th with a jump of 4'10"(1.475m). She was of course a member of the Coburg Women's Athltics Club as men and women had to compete separately in those days. A versatile athlete, she medalled in Australian Championships in High Jump, Discus and Shot Put.
